Skyscrapers and unique buildings in the midst of the Great Steppe became the image of the country, assertive at the international arena. Bayterek, Khan Shatyr, the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, Nur Astana Mosque, EXPO facilities are all unique structures which symbols of both the capital and the country are.

During the excursion, walking in the Square of Independence, Water-Green Boulevard (Nurzhol Boulevard), the Round Square you will get acquainted with this state-of-the-art city; you will see Khazret Sultan Mosque and learn the story of establishment and plans of development of the city. You will be able to have a bird’s eye view of the city from the observation platform of Bayterek Tower.

Excursion to  museum Alzhir
The historical and memorial complex ALZHIR belongs to the unusual museums, it is located at the place of the Akmola camp for the wives of traitors of Motherland. It is dedicated to the victims of political repressions. It is the only museum of such kind in Central Asia. The complex is located 37 kilometers from Astana and allows to turn over the forgotten pages of the history.

The excursion starts from the monument “Arch of Sorrow”, then two compositions follow it: “Despair and Weakness”, “Fight and Hope”. The tunnel with the pictures of tragic moments of parting with children, relentless judgments of tribunals, prison cells and lock-ups help you submerge into the atmosphere of repressions. At the end of the excursion you will have an opportunity to see a 20-minute documentary film.
