Kolsay Lakes and Lake Kaindy are the pearls of the Northern Tien Shan.
Kolsay Lakes are located in the Kungey Alatau Mountains (South-Eastern Kazakhstan) at the altitude from 1829 up to 3170 m above sea level. They are distinguished by the unique mountain watershed consisting of three natural zones and amazing variety of rare plants and animals. The temperature of water decreases with altitude. It is a favorite place for mountain tourism. Trekking routes to Kolsay Lakes are very easy and fit even for amateurs. A suitable period for camping is from April to late September. From windows of guest houses you can enjoy the view to extraordinary beautiful landscape of lake, and the evenings spent at a fireplace will be remembered to you for a long time.
